Finally, I have my Tonsil removed.
I was lucky to have two ladies went with me for the whole day, my mum and my girlfriend. My girlfriend took 2 days leave just to take care of me, how sweet of her.
When I stepped in the operation theatre, I saw personal in blue operation wear and cover their month with mask and head with a white cap.
My heart was heavy, when I saw the operation table. There was two giant lamp right above the head board and numbers of condition monitoring equipments. Sound from those equipments was heard clearly, di di di ... . At that moment, it was like, I am going for a major operation.
I was in the theatre for 3mins and everybody was busy with their own job scope to prepare for the operation. Therefore, I relax myself and enjoy the air-con. Until a tall guy came in to the theatre, He is Dr Paul, I presumed. The doctor-in-charge of my operation. As he walked in, he asked 'Is anybody ready?' The reply from the mass was 'yes'. Then Dr Paul said 'Let's do it'.
Immediately, after that statement. A mask with a tube attached to a machine was placed on my nose, I counted 1...2...3... . The next moment, I was outside the operation theatre with a bad sore throat and a click on my finger(for monitoring). That's it! DONE! A while later, I was pushed back to the day ward, on the way back, I saw my mum and girlfriend waiting for me. How fortunate I am.
I was forgiven a few small cups of apple juice and ice cream after I was pushed back 45mins later.
That was around 1230pm. As I need to stay in the hospital for at least 6hours after the operation, I lay on the bed and rest with my mum and girlfriend by my bed side.
The waiting was long, as I didn't want to stay on bed anymore. I went to watch TV at the day ward recreational area around 1815, the program was Tong Xin Yuan on channel8. It was around 1830 when I watch the news, then I know there was an earthquake at china. What a disaster!
I was discharged around 1845.
For the next few days, my diet was mee sua, porridge, ice cream and cold barley. Everything was all right and I was on the way to recovery, until 20May(Tues) 9pm, when I felt something big inside under my tongue. I was shocked when I cough it out. It was blood clot. After the clot, fresh dark red blood came along. I was then rushed to the A&E in AH by taxi. On the way, blood kept surging out from my month. I estimated about 100ml of blood were wasted.
Upon arriving at the hospital the bleed stopped. The doctor attended to me shortly, and I was told to stay for 1hour for observation. After which, I was told by the doctor that I am fit to go home, and if it starts to bleed again get an ice and put it inside my month. I went home with my mum and a bag of medication on a taxi. When I reach home, it was 130am. What a shocking experience.
Coincidence?

Investment paid by Credit Card?
Take an example, A Fine Wine Investment Company, they claim that you can make a profit of up to 40% in a year. Furthermore, they claim that they don't make any profit from the sale. (What a lie, how the company being able to pay their employees).
Besides, the company even let consumers (So called Investor) to use credit card to make payment. What about the credit card company fee?
In my opinion, any transaction that involves credit card is not any invesment. With an installment plan for an investment is probably a sales technique to sell products better. why? Because beside credit card processing fee charge by the bank/credit card company. Which an agreement has been signed between merchant and bank, not to transfer this charge to consumer.
Therefore, merchant would need to absorb it. Moreover, with an installment plan, there is an addition charge of 9% to the merchant.
So when someone wants to sell you the an idea of using credit card to buy an investment, think again. (Can you use credit card to pay for your bokerage fee and Unit trust?)

DBS/POSB, UOB or OCBC?
However, as times goes by more Singapore bank were born. They are OCBC and UOB, everyone of them are about the same but not for the ATM. There are times when I need to withdraw cash from the ATM of DBS/POSB. I just don't like the queue. Especially, at shopping mall. Therefore, would consider OCBC/UOB. Interesting, I discovered the following:
Let's look at
DBS Saving Plus - First 3K, 0.25% p.a if your daily balance is less than $500, you need to pay $2 minimum initial deposit S$ 500.
POSB My Saving - Monthly saving of $50-$290, 0.45% p.a For this acc. You need to save monthly to get that interest rate.
UOB Saving - First $15K 0.35% p.a if your daily balance is less than $500, you need to pay $2. minimum initial deposit is S$ 20.
OCBC Fairprice plus - 1% p.a minimum initial deposit $0 No daily balance required.
As you can see, OCBC Fairprice plus is the best as compared with other 3 accounts. Another benefit of OCBC is its ATM. It integrates cash withdrawal and cash deposit in one machine. In addition, as in comparison to DBS, user of OCBC ATM is lesser. That mean's chances for us to stone in the queue are lesser. fairprice plus account comes with a debit or credit card, you can earn linkpoints from all NTUC Fairprice outlets and other 600 merchants that issues linkpoint.
Even when you buy/ sell stocks (shares) the Broker house issue you issue you points as well. (Lim n Tan)With all these benefits from OCBC Fairprice Plus, I will definitely open an account with them.

Investment risk rating
As we graduate, we step into the world of work. After years at work, some of us have accumulated a huge amount of saving. The question is where should we place our saving for better return. Friends who are insurance agent may recommend some investment plan like Investment Link Policy (ILP). However, are these recommendations really suitable for you? Are there any conflict of interests? I guess it is best for us to be aware of what are those investments available at the market and what is the risk rating. I got the below picture from the Internet. Do have a look...Saturday, April 12, 2008
Don't get scammed by those so called "Home based online business opportunity"!
A few days later, I saw an ad with that Automated ATM again. I thought I will see a different site with other concepts. Guess what , The content is the same as the first site I visited days ago. Its just that it has a different URL.
Every effort has been made to accurately represent this product and its potential. Even though this industry is one of the few where one can write their own check in terms of earnings, there is no guarantee that you will earn any money using the techniques and ideas in these materials
.Sounds contradicting isn't it?

Scan every gadget you buy before using it
"Be wary when you buy anything from thumb drive to music player. They may come pre-installed with viruses designed to steal information such as passwords and trade documents, which could lead to the thief prying confidential data or, worse, clearing out your bank account.
Such surreptitious programs, called mal ware, are not new. Nevertheless, they are now appearing in everyday gadgets, said experts."
Hmmm... As the technology is advancing at a high speed. It makes sense for everybody who lives in this digital age to be aware of personal security over the Internet. In fact, almost everybody does fund transfer over the internet instead of using the ATM. Which appears to be an old school method. With the convenience at hand, we need to be sensitive and stay to keep updated with current news for a virus.
An anti virus software is a must to ensure you are safe from possible virus attack by those programmers who likes to play prank. Do not be surprise to get alert by the anti-viruse software after you did a scan on your newly purchased external hard or thumb drive. Recurrently, there isn't any law that points responsibility to the manufacturer for any virus/mal ware found on their devise.
Therefore, if you don't want to see your private picture or document circulating the net. Scan your devise before you use, just like you would scan your computer.

What happen to people nowadays? MRT Jump
Why people like to commit suicide by jump into the MRT track. What are these people thinking? If there want to die, they could have to choose a better way, rather than getting themselves smack . It is a terrible death scene. Young kids on the platform will probably have an unpleasant subconscious that bother them. Before they jump, did they ever thought of this? I doubt so..
For one person die on the train track, 7,300 commuters got affected. People got scolded by unreasonable boss for being late. Why can't those people be considerate and die at a place that will not affect a pool of people?
Are they trying to attract public attention on a public transport service?
